Do I need to do anything to get Debit Card Controls?
No. This free service is located in First PREMIER’s Online and Mobile Banking. To navigate to Debit Card Services, go to Menu > Services > Debit Card Controls.
What can I do in Debit Card Controls?
You can activate a new debit card, enable or disable your debit card(s), view transactions, navigate to travel notifications, view FAQs or select your debit card to view more details and controls.
How will I receive transaction alerts and notifications?
You can choose email or text alerts. Card Controls Alerts are emailed to the email address you have listed in Online Banking.
Why do I need to set travel notifications?
If you plan to travel outside of the area and use your debit card, it’s a good idea to set a travel notification using Debit Card Controls. Activity outside of your normal usage, may flag a fraud alert and cause delays or disruptions on debit card transactions.
What happens if I get a call from someone saying there is a fraudulent charge on my account?
With our real-time debit card transaction fraud monitoring, you could get a call asking you about a transaction. Our representatives WILL NOT ask you to provide an account number or username and password to your online banking. They will also NOT send you a link to reset your information. They will only need you to confirm or deny the transaction. Be suspicious of anyone claiming to be from the bank requesting any personal or account information.
